Cold car and freezing wife. Clear blue sky and low hanging clouds The winding road to Bagio Grace at Bagio Public Market Grace and Camaro in the pines.
Early morning in front of the Summer Palace or Summer Mansion of the Philippine President. The gate to the mansion is a smaller version of the gate at Buckinham Palace, London The summer capital of the Philippines, when it gets to hot during summer in Manila people "escapes" to the highlands and much better temperatures of Bagio
It was great fun to drive the powerful V8 up the mountain, I used to joke when people ask me for direction to Bagio "Just follow the two wide black rubber stripes all the way up the mountain". The Public Market in Bagio City is known to be the best in the Philippines, I quess having strawberries from December to April doesn't hurt its status. I think its the only place in the Philippines you can find pinetree forrests.

2002 Bagio Trip
Bagio - the summer capital
of the Philippines. Located north of Manila in a heigth of 2000 meter above sea
level ensures cool summer nights and cold winter temperatures. It was January
when we went there and temperatures dropped to 6 degress in the night - freezing
cold by Phillippine standards. It was then I realized that there is no choker on
the car, it wasn't too happy about firing up in the early morning mist.
The public marked in Bagio
is the best in the Philippines, the best vegetables and fruits are found here
and furthermore with fresh strawberry almost 1/2 of the year around.
