A real nice place to do
diving, mountain biking, hiking, trekking, mountain climbing and water
activities.
We have visited the quiet Island several times and will be coming back again for
sure.

Probably the most famous Island
in the Philippines, known for its superb beach, nominated several times to be
among the 5 best in the world.
We visited the place only once so far.

Located north of Cebu Island,
by some named to be the next Boracay.
Famous among divers for its Tresher Sharks and Manta Rays, other good diving
spots are Gato Island and the Superferry wreck.

Located south of Cebu Island,
offering the best diving in the Visayas.
White beach on Panglao Island is the perfect place for the whole family with a
very good beach, nice resorts, excellent food and easy diving.
|
 |
 |
Located on Mindanao. Famous for its
fruits and known as Durian City. "The largest city in the world" by
square miles.
Many excellent restaurants and hotels plus a few good resorts with good beaches.

Diving not good, beaches not so spectacular as down south on Mindanao and in
the Visayas. But still many real nice places to visit.

Read about my latest idea: Mountain biking in the olive plantations of the
Cretan Mountains, Sitia: a small village by the sea, Atherinolakkos Power Plant
(my current workplace) and Athens. |
